Responsibilities Include:

Candidates will be responsible for design and debug of embedded C applications primarily based on Linux OS.

Product development:

  • Implementation of software algorithms to control embedded devices utilizing C and C++
  • Embedded Linux OS
  • Qt for GUI as well as overall framework in embedded devices
  • WebAssembly utilized for Qt GUI giving remote web browser support

Responsibilities Include:

Candidates will be responsible for design and debug of DSP/FPGA circuits related to digital video designs. This involves working with Marketing/Engineering departments to develop a specification, schematic generation, FPGA programming, overseeing the PWB design, board debug, troubleshooting, and system integration.

Job Description:

Acroamatics is looking for a software engineer to assist in development and maintenance of operational software and GUI operator interfaces for our telemetry ground station product lines. The main focus of this position will be to work with current engineering staff to develop requirements, plan, develop, produce, debug, validate and document software code for both existing and new products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Apply existing software tool expertise and identify and apply new methods in pursuit of the project.
  • Work with existing staff subject matter experts to develop specifications and implement a project plan.
  • Work with management to report progress and provide critical input as changes are needed.
  • Review and understand key product user interface operator attributes and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Work with co-workers to understand the company’s overall market and product strategies to better assist in the preparation of a quality end-solution.
  • Establish and maintain a regular work schedule, maintain good work habits, and develop a contributive team member mentality.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1 -2 years of experience with C, C++, for embedded applications; GUI development in Qt, C#, Java, Python or other related languages.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience with real-time applications and interfacing with hardware.
  • Desire to create outstanding solutions, push the state-of-the-art and be a key contributing member of the Acroamatics technical staff.

  • Mechanical assembly of equipment chassis
  • Chassis wiring
  • Assembly of electric printed circuit boards
  • Inspection

Requirements:

  • Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
  • Measure, cut and strip wires per wiring diagram
  • Crimp and assemble connectors including coax cable connectors.
  • Hand soldering and de-soldering of thru-hole, and small SMT components
  • Clean finished boards to remove flux residue.
  • Visually examine top and bottom solder for inadequate or defective solder joints
  • Check location of components against a blueprint.
  • Work from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components
  • Handle all electronic components within the guidelines of ESD
  • May assist in building engineering/prototype assemblies
  • Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required
  • IPC 610 and J STD001 certification is a plus

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience as an electrical assembler required
